Long Island ice tea

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 ounce of gin
  • 1 ounce of rum
  • 1 ounce of high quality tequila
  • 1/2 ounce of triple sec
  • 2 ounces of sour mix
  • coke

Instructions

  1. Fill the cocktail shaker 3/4 of the way full of ice. Put in vodka, gin, rum, tequila, triple sec and sour. Shake like you’re Shakira on stage at your first concert.
  2. Divide (ice and all) between two glasses and top with to the brim with coke.
  3. Take a nap.

STRAWBERRY-KIWI FROZEN MOJITOS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ cups chopped strawberries, frozen
  • 1 ½ cups chopped kiwi, frozen
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup, divided
  • 8 fresh mint leaves, divided
  • 3 ounces rum, divided
  • 3 ½ cups crushed ice, divided
  • Strawberry and kiwi slices, to garnish
  • Mint leaves, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a blender, combine the 1½ cups frozen strawberries, 1½ tablespoons simple syrup, 4 mint leaves, one shot of rum, and 1¾ cups of crushed ice. Blend until well combined and slushy-like.
  2. Pour the strawberry mojito into 3 glasses, filling half-way.
  3. Rinse out the blender jug and combine the remaining 1½ cups chopped kiwi, 1½ tablespoons simple syrup, 4 mint leaves, shot of rum, and 1¾ cups crushed ice. Blend to desired consistency.
  4. Pour the kiwi mojito over the strawberry mojito.
  5. Garnish with kiwi, strawberry, and mint.

Blueberry Mojito

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, plus extra for garnish
  • 4 oz clear rum
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 6 oz club soda
  • ice

Directions

  1. In a food processor or blender, puree blueberries until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Add mint leaves and sugar to a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to muddle the mint and sugar. Add the lime juice, rum and pureed blueberries shake vigorously.
  3. Pour ice and club soda into two tall glasses and then pour in rum mixture. Gently stir. Garnish with a lime wedge, extra blueberries and a sprig of mint.
